Khundrakpam Pradipkumar is runner-up at Senior Mr. India

Posted in Champions on April 12, 2010 by takeupsculpting

Khundrakpam Pradipkumar of Manipur has won silver medal in 50th Senior National Bodybuilding Championship held at Goa on April 11.
Pradipkumar’s placing is truly a feat as the 39-year-old has been living with HIV for a decade now!
According to sources, it was a big challenge for Pradipkumar to compete in one of the toughest of sports, bodybuilding, at such a high level.  I feel proud that our country has true warriors like Pradipkumar who are creating awareness in society that HIV need not mean end of accomplishments.
Their struggle for putting an end to discrimination prevalent in society is laudable. That Pradipkumar spends several hundred rupees every day on buying quality food and food supplements speaks volumes of his commitment and perseverance.
He is also receiving medical attention, sources said.
Bodybuilding fans would be aware that Pradipkumar won Mr. Manipur in 60-kg class in December 2007. He placed very well in All India Inter State Body Building Championship at Aurangabad, Maharashtra, and Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, in 2008.
Warriors like Pradipkumar need financial assistance from benevolent sponsors, which would help them make our country proud.
